The 'Linford' story continues from when they returned from Saudi Arabia.
Brian did the usual catching-up with the DIY house jobs like redecorating & reshaping the garden, under very close supervision from Rose. Well, you know what he's like with anything organic, he smiles at it, it dies! He rewired David's & Tonies houses in between tasks, including running a 'Multimedia System' around our house so we (he) can have TV, Satellite, hi-fi or computers in any room & HE CAN CONTROL IT - who does he think he is? Son of Big Brother!
We were sat there having a late Sunday Brunch when the phone rings. I'm calling you from the Philippines, says the Voice, got your details off the Internet, are you available? When, asks our hero, Friday says the Voice, OK he replies, I've always fancied the Philippines, fax me the details & I'll go & pack!
There he was - gone again - off to a place called Sual, somewhere in the Philippines, where they were building a power station. It turns out to be the biggest one out there & they wanted a Camp Manager to look after them.
It was a mixed community of mainly Brits, then Americans, Aussies, Canadians, South Africans, German, French, with a local Filipino workforce.
